Sorry everyone - I have had knitting world fatigue with lots of work and kids things - I am trying desperately to get out as a property valuer full time in our business, have put on and trained an office staff member (our first!) and the kids have had really busy weeks with DS starting to train at Melbourne Park (where the Australian Open is played) one night during the week and on Saturday afternoons. When you add in the occasional knit time, there hasn't been much blog time. Projects beign worked on at the moment include:
- Stole in Birch pattern in Majestic KSH for my friend
- Lacy scarf in Lornas Laces sock yarn (stalled)
- Celtic Shedir Cap (stalled at the crown)
- Rogue - All knitted and needing an attached I-cord, zip and sleeves sewn in
- Socks - three single socks need pairs at the moment
- Soft Cotton jumper for DD - just started (but 7mm needles so it should be quick
Really enjoyed Bendi - froze my butt off but had a great time. Here are some pics that are a little long in the tooth now but its the first chance I've had to put them up. HAve decided to try and blog a bit more often because I was feeling a little overwhelmed about what to say since I had so much to share that I actually avoided logging on! Silly of me I know.
I bought some of Wendy Dennis' lovely Polwarth yarn for this hoodie on the front of a Fall IK. It is such a luscious soft yarn and is in 100% Polwarth or 80% Polwarth and 20% silk.
This is the KSH Birch stole in progress.
400gm wool/angora from the backroom at Bendigo Woollen Mills and some top and a drop spindle for what seems another life when I have time to have a go at some spinning.
4 balls of Possum Merino to have a go at something with and to try - I have been interested in this yarn for its warmth for a long time.
Ma girls!!!! Helping me out on the Bendi stall so I could go for a toilet break, eating break and check out what else is around break. These girls were wonderful , great sellers and enablers!!! Thanks - I was really wrapt to meet everyone and I hope the socks are knitting up as we speak.
Enough for one post - I am going to get back into this I promise. I do plan to destash a little and also I still have quite a few Addis and Profi needles for sale and of course the sock yarn.
Happy knitting - Lisa
