I am the MASTER!!! of the knitting universe. Well maybe not! But I feel pretty freaking fantastic because I am 12 rows into Birch. Ha!!
Yes GG, Ceels and Theoretic Gal I know I should have heeded your advice much sooner!!! I have mastered the pattern and am half way through pattern repeat 2. I only started on 259 stitches because my Mum is short and its for her but these rows are VERY long. I did it at the Junior Football today but had to switch to the socks when DS was playing. Couldn't risk a muck up and couldn't concentrate on both things at once.
(no 7 - Aussie Rules first year of footy in the Under 10s)
I have also been doing a little planning for my Green Jo Sharp - I took this from Knitting on the Edge and plan to make a scarf and hat from this Saxon Braid - but without the fringing.
Finally a little update on the Lush Mohair jumper I finished and showed you blocking for my SIL here it is
Finally Happy Mothers Day everyone - hope you get a nice breaky in bed and chance to have a knit.
Well done, you. I had faith you'd win with birch.

Oh Lisa, you will love knitting cables with the silkroad - I'm knitting rogue out of it, and it has been an absolute delight to work with. Rogue is my first experience with cables, and they show up so well with the silkroad, which also has a lovely 'hand' to knit with.
Enjoy!!
